The Askernish Open is an annual event held in August that is, as the name might suggest, open to members & non-members; locals & overseas visitors alike.
It comprises three days of separate competitions on one of the most uniquely natural and challenging courses in golf.
A massive thank you to all who took part in the 2018 Open. The 3 day event was a great success with 140 entrants from all across the UK, Canada, Finland, USA, Germany and of course the many locals.
Plans are already underway for 2019’s event in conjunction with a review of the many potential development opportunities for the course and for the Open competition itself. Inquiries and booking’s for 2019 are already coming in so we look forward to another year of high participation and an even more successful weekend.

2017 - ASKERNISH OPEN - RESULTS
The 2017 Askernish Open was held on 25/26/27th August. With the weather being kind to us again it was a fantastic 3 days of golf out on the course.
History was made on Friday when James MacDonald equaled the amateur course record with a score of 70 to win the MacKenzie & Ebert Quaich. He followed this up on Saturday by winning the Askernish Open. Karen Ravenscroft added the Open title to the MacKenzie & Ebert she won last year. On Sunday the Club Champion Donald MacInnes led his team to a famous victory in the Team Texas Scramble.
Well done to all the winners and thanks to everyone who attended, played and helped out at the competition.
